Welcome to this week’s Free Book Friday, wherein we give you the best titles in indie publishing for the low low price of nothing. Congrats to last week’s winner Lilian for snagging a copy of From Kingsbridge to Carnasie by The New York Writers Coalition.

This week, we are giving away a copy of Floodmarkers by Nic Brown. Lystra, North Carolina: a fictional town full of very real people who survive the attack of Hurricane Hugo and then find their bearings in the aftermath—often in wild and hilarious ways.

Counterpoint publishes fiction, literature, and poetry in addition to nonfiction, including history, memoir, biography, and nature. Considering I live in Charleston and all I ever hear about is Hurricane Hugo during hurricane season, reading something fun and different in regards to the storm will be a welcome change.

This will be the first contest that I have had the nerve to enter. At least it is writing oriented. Haha!
As a survivor of a tornado in Redwood City, California, survivors of a hurricane would be even more exciting. Love that Honda on the front cover.
