Through writing, interviews, and photography, neighborhood writers create portraits of New York City, then edit the stories with the neighborhoods to ensure authenticity in New York Writers Coalition’s newest publication. This book, in eight distinct voices, vibrantly paints what it is to be young and female and coming of age in New York City. It is a documentary book project that replicates the highly successful and innovative New Orleans-based Neighborhood Story Project.
